Yes, fully. We carry public liability insurance on every project. We're happy to share our certificate on request.

Foxall and Young is a partnership between two established local builders. Young previously ran George Young Builders, a name many customers across the county will already know. Together we bring decades of combined experience in Lincolnshire construction.

Absolutely. We have a portfolio of past projects and are happy to talk you through anything similar to what you're planning. Where possible, we can also arrange for you to see a completed job in person.

Every project is different, so we quote each job individually after a site visit. We give you a clear, written quote with a proper breakdown, no hidden extras. Once we've agreed a price, that's the price, barring changes you specifically ask for.

For most jobs, no. But for certain projects we may ask for a deposit, the deposit varies depending on the size of the project and what materials need ordering upfront. We’ll explain this clearly before you commit to anything.

The only reason prices change mid-project is if you ask for something to be added or changed, or if we uncover something that couldn't have been seen at the quote stage (for example, an unexpected issue with foundations on an older property). If that happens, we'll flag it straight away, explain your options, and never carry out extra chargeable work without your agreement in writing.

We don't provide finance directly, but many customers use their own home improvement loan or savings for larger projects. Happy to discuss what works for you.

Timelines depend on the size and complexity of the job. A patio might take a week; an extension can run six to twelve weeks; a full new build can run six months or longer. We give you a realistic timeline as part of the quote and keep you updated throughout.

Some jobs need planning permission, some fall under permitted development, and some need Building Control approval rather than full planning. It depends on the size of the work, the type of property, and whether it's in a conservation area or listed. We'll advise you on what's needed for your specific project and, where appropriate, work alongside architects or planning consultants to get the paperwork right before we start.

Depending on the season and current bookings, we can typically start smaller jobs within a few weeks and larger projects within one to three months. The best way to get an accurate answer is to get in touch with your project details so we can check the diary.

Yes. Tidy sites are safer sites, and they're a sign of a properly organised job. Materials arrive when they're needed, waste is cleared regularly, and we leave the site secure at the end of every day.

Yes. You'll deal directly with the Foxall and Young team throughout the job, not a chain of subcontractors. If there's a decision to make or an issue to flag, you'll hear about it from us straight away.

We stand behind our work. If something isn't right, tell us and we'll come and put it right. Our workmanship is guaranteed, and structural elements are covered by the relevant statutory warranties.
